These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Run My Kitchen mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service").
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Service Description
Run My Kitchen is a personal cooking assistant that provides:
- AI-powered recipe generation based on your available ingredients
- Pantry management and ingredient tracking
- Meal planning and scheduling
- Recipe saving and cookbook features
- Food scanning and nutritional information
- Dietary preference and allergy management
The Service is intended for personal, non-commercial use to assist with meal planning and cooking.
2. Recipe and Nutritional Disclaimers
2.1 AI-Generated Recipes
Recipes generated by our AI are suggestions based on your inputs and preferences. We do not guarantee:
- Recipes will meet specific dietary or nutritional requirements
- All suggested ingredient combinations will be safe or palatable
- Cooking times and temperatures will be accurate for all equipment
- Recipes will be suitable for individuals with specific health conditions
2.2 Allergy and Dietary Warnings
IMPORTANT: While we attempt to filter recipes based on your stated allergies and dietary restrictions, you must:
- Always verify ingredients before cooking if you have food allergies
- Check product labels for allergen warnings
- Consult with a healthcare professional for medical dietary needs
- Not rely solely on this app for allergy management
We are not responsible for allergic reactions or adverse health effects from recipes used through this Service.
2.3 Nutritional Information
Any nutritional information provided (calories, macros, etc.) is estimated and may not be accurate. For medical or dietary requirements, consult a registered dietitian or healthcare provider.
2.4 Third-Party Product Data
Product information from barcode scanning comes from third-party sources (including Open Food Facts) and may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. Always verify product information from the actual product label.
3. Accounts
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
- You are responsible for all activity under your account
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for violation of these Terms
4. User Data & AI Training
- You grant us a license to use your submitted data (ingredients, preferences, recipe requests) for:
- Operating and improving the Service
- Training and improving our AI recipe generation
- Creating aggregated insights about cooking trends
- We may incorporate anonymized data into features visible to other users
- You represent that you have the right to provide any data you submit
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service's operation
- Submit false or misleading information
- Use the Service to generate harmful or dangerous content
- Scrape or harvest data from the Service
6. Intellectual Property
- The Service, including its design, features, and content, is our property
- Recipes you save and create remain yours for personal use
- You may not copy, modify, or redistribute the Service without permission
7. No Warranty
The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, including:
- Accuracy of recipes or nutritional information
- Suitability for any particular dietary requirement
- Uninterrupted or error-free operation
- Safety of all suggested recipes
8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- We are not liable for any health issues, allergic reactions, or injuries resulting from using recipes from this Service
- Our total liability shall not exceed $50 or the amount you paid for the Service in the past 12 months, whichever is greater
YOU USE RECIPES AND NUTRITIONAL INFORMATION FROM THIS SERVICE AT YOUR OWN RISK.
9. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Run My Kitchen from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:
- Your use of the Service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Any content you submit to the Service
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without cause. Upon termination:
- Your license to use the Service ends immediately
- We may delete your data (except as required to retain by law)
- Sections 2, 7, 8, and 9 survive termination
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time by posting the revised version.
We will notify you of material changes through the app or via email.
Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict of laws principles.
